Family Fun Trip at Manila Zoo

Before we arrived here in the Philippines Manila Zoo is already in my list to visit. Aside from the fact that it is near our place we also have kids who are fascinated with the animals.

Inigo is familiar with the animals and it’s sounds so I guess this is perfect timing for him to see the animals up close and personal.

Manila Zoo is located along Adriatico St., corner Quirino St., Manila, the main entrance of the zoo is fronting the Playground for Manila youth. It has a land area of 5.5 hectares.

For those who love taking selfie or have a snake around them then you must visitthe Jungle Adventure, just pay php 100 and they will capture  your braveness.

Compare to the zoo in Dubai animals in Manila Zoo are just few. But the kids still enjoyed their time roaming, running and watching the animals.

The highlight of our trip is the fun of trying the horse back riding.

Are you familiar with Vice Ganda’s launching movie?. Well, luckily Kuya Angelo rode to the famous Petrang Kabayo..

Priced at php 100 per pax, if accompnied by parent then she must pay as well.

Eid Holiday learning activities..

By all means, this is not an original idea.If you want useful and free printables then go to 2Teaching Mommies blog. She has tons of free activity sheets that are very helpful for the toddlers.

When I saw this Zoo pack I knew that this will make our holiday more FUN..

Animals + Numbers = Safari Fun afternoon.

The package includes

1. Counting skills..

Count how many animals and place the correct numbers. Easy Peasy!

2. Zoo Match

This is so fun. We casually talked through different animals and their sound before mounting it to the correct shadow.

3. Pre-Writing skills

And since we are working on his writing skills.

My little zookeeper needs to feed the animals by following the strokes from the template.

4. Beginning sounds

A little fun with the alphabet. This little activity will help little A to practice the phonics.

Just a fun little way to jazz up emotions and learning routines!

Little A drew happy face and sad face..

Happy learning!!

Pretend Play – Veterinary Clinic

It’s been said that the work of a child is play or, perhaps, to be more exact, learning through play. Play is such a part and parcel of your child’s life that childhood is, virtually, defined by the dominance of play.

But role play is more than fun…it’s a key component of learning. According to child development experts, role play helps children acquire all kinds of skills and knowledge, encouraging them to:

  • Explore imagination
  • Think in the abstract
  • Acquire language skills
  • Build social skills
  • Problem solve
  • Understand someone else’s perspective
  • Learn essential life skills from adults
  • Discover leadership skills
  • Safely explore the world beyond
  • Acquire confidence and a sense of self

So,after the huge success of our Pretend Play – Ice Cream shop. This week we turned our playroom into the magical art of imitation and make believe.

Presenting our this week activity 😛 Pretend Play – Veterinary Clinic

Play Veterinarian

With the helped of veterinary printables, mixing a few stuffed animals, rearranging the furniture and our real trusty doctor kit we made our Saturday morning more fun and exciting.

During the play, we talked about taking care of animals and emphaty. I also explained to Little A the importance of drinking medicines. He’s not use to drink the medicine orally and it is really struggle for us whenever he needs to drink antibiotic because we cannot mixed it on his milk. I also informed him that doctors also treated sick people not only animals so children should never be afraid of them. This is one way of convincing the child that doctors will not harm them but instead help them to get well soon.

Please allow me to show to you our top class facility. Be our guest and let our experienced Veterinarian take care of your pets.

There are simple ways imaginary play and child development can be encouraged in our home. Before you knew it you are having an enjoyable time, too!
