Dubai Dining – More Life Happens Here at Chili’s – Deira City Centre

I didn’t know that Toy’s R Us shop was already closed in Deira City Centre. Supposedly we’ll buy the present of Kuya Angelo for his 6th birthday. I don’t know why he’s excited for his upcoming birthday.Kaya I tagged along Tita Raquiza para she can buy na. Tita is the spoiler di ba..😛

Raquiza arrived earlier than our meeting time and when I saw her she’s already carrying a big shopping bag from Bath and Bodyworks. I was about to check the shop also when I saw the signage that Victoria’s Secret is on 25-70 % promo. I went inside and saw most of the filipinas in lotion and lingerie sections. Why not thong panties for only aed 15 while lotions are aed 20 only. Steal! 😜

There are lots of cute stuff pero I need to buy lang for my sisters and hipag. Kaya control!

After a quick shopping we settled to dine-in at Chili’s Restaurant located at the second level of the mall.

The restaurant Is known for traditional Southwestern flair, serving delectable Mexican food and chilled margaritas in a casual, friendly environment.

The orders – For starter we had Triple Dipper which includes Wings over Buffalo, Honey- Chipotle Chicken Crispers and the new Big Mouth Burger Bites. Daddy A wants steak so he opted for 12 oz Flamed Grilled Rib Eye with two side dish such as Fries and Shredded Corn. We also add Grilled Shrimp Alfredo Penne Pasta.

The verdict – The selection of food is impressive. I loved the pasta but I find the steak too dry. We asked for mushroom sauce but they failed to put it on. The Strawsicle Ice Cream Smoothie is a bomb!

Money wise I still consider it worth the penny.

Dubai Dining – Sweet treat at Shakespeare and Co. Restaurant – Dubai Mall

It seemed that a piece of England had found a nook for itself in Dubai Mall.

The ambience- Shakespeare and Co. is designed in a very colorful Victorian style…

The décors – are inspired by the hallmarks of a bygone era – 18th Century Europe, a period when elegance, luxury, and exquisite attention to detail was de rigeur. From plush upholstery encased with antique frames to intricate chandeliers and vintage centerpieces, classically majestic, awe-inspiring union of colour.

The menu
– The menu comprises classic dishes from the world’s favorite cuisines – in essence, reflecting the rich diversity of the patrons who visit the restaurants. They use classic methods and fresh ingredients;quickly prepared, craveable meals that persuade a nostalgic feeling of home.

It’s composed by an array of salads, sandwiches, wraps, eggs Benedict, crêpes, pasta, milkshakes and the juices are fantastic.

The orders – None of us are hungry so we opted to try their cakes and milkshakes. We feast on a slice of Mille Feuille, a puff pastry cake with layered of vanilla filling, a piece of Mogador Chocolate, it’s a chocolate sponge cake with mousse and praline cream. We also craved for a Raspberry Cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries.

For beverages we enjoyed Chocolate Milkshake and Chocolate Cappuccino and a scoop of Strawberry Ice Cream. We just don’t like sweets😛

When we told them that the cake is for birthday they got the correct spelling of the name of the celebrant and add candle for blowing.

The verdict – The service was good… staff are welcoming! The place creates a truly extraordinary environment that oozes comfort and encourages great conversation.

Shakespeare and Co.  is located on the first floor of the mall, opposite Galerie Lafayette and easily accessible from the grand parking levels.  Open from 7AM – 12AM everyday of the week.

Dubai Dining- Unwind at the weekend @ The Cheesecake Factory, Dubai Mall

Enjoy the warm and cosy atmosphere and walk through the front doors of The Cheesecake Factory and you will know you are
in for something special.

Located in the Suoq area of Dubai Mall, The Cheesecake Factory menu boasts more than 200 selections made fresh from scratch daily.

What we ate:

While choosing to their wide selection menu, we were given a complimentary bread with uber- creamy butter. I so like the butter that I wanted to ask the waiter from where they are getting it. Kaso nahiya naman ako..hehe

Appetizer– we had Fried Calamari it’s fried light  and crisp squid served with garlic dip and cocktail sauce.

Main Course– we tried their Famous Factory Meatloaf served with mashed potatoes, gravy, grilled onions and corn succotash and the Salisbury Chopped Steak combined with onions, mushrooms and garlic served with mashed potatoes, gravy and fresh green beans. We also ordered Fettuccini Alfredo a rich parmesan cream sauce with chicken for little A since he only likes white sauce in pasta.

Dessert – we sampled their Ultimate Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake, it’s a layers of red velvet cake and cheesecake covered in cream cheese frosting, finished with white chocolate. The cake was extremely heavy and rich in taste.

Verdict – The portions are very generous and amazing food. The staff are  friendly with great recommendations. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Dining delights – Carino’s Italian Grill

It is always a pleasure to go out with my two boys. Spending time with them is something I always look forward to. Last Tuesday, I was invited with my boys for a lunch date. Initially hubby wanted in Cheesecake Factory but I said next time na lang dun pag kasama na si Raquiza kasi maiinggit yun..hahaha

So we end up in Carino’s Italian Grill situated opposite Deira City Centre. The restaurant has something for everyone – from seafood, fish, meat and chicken dishes. Although the place is located in Deira and might well go unnoticed, a visit to Carino’s is a must.

While looking for the menu complimentary fresh warm bread was provided to our table with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

We sampled their steaks. Hubby ordered for Tuscan Ribeye – 12-ounce cut of Angus beef marinated in fresh garlic, rosemary, and seasoning blend, served with fresh vegetables and Pasta Linguine with tomato sauce. While I devoured with my Oak-Grilled New York Strip – 12-ounce cut of Angus beef marinated in Johnny’s house blend of seasoned oil and fresh Italian herbs. Served with fries and Penne pasta with alfredo sauce..

Verdict – the steak was cooked according to our preference, high quality beef used, servings are generous, great value, nice service and ambiance.

Dubai Dining- Lunch Date @ Romano’s Macaroni Grill- Dubai Festival City

With a relaxed and Italian atmosphere there’s enough choice to satisfy any appetite without being overwhelming.
The paper table-cloth is so cute and child friendly. It is designed for families who loves to doodle on while waiting for the food to arrives. But while the table set up is informal the service is friendly thus charming the kids with enough crayons to keep them occupied and stay on their seat.
We especially like the way the staff scribbled their name on our table. Aliw lng!

Surprise dinner party @ Tandushi Indo-Japanese Restaurant

Hello I’m back. sorry for MIA again last week was really tough. I need to work during the weekend and need to render overtime again because of the deadline.

On another note…I have missed you! These last few weeks have been a whirlwind and things are finally getting back to a normal pace.

I have a very special party to share with you. Last week, I had the pleasure of helping coordinate Surprise Dinner party for a family I have known for quite some time.

The couple is really close to us and being part of the planning and execution was really fun.

I’m always trying to find a way to be different or at least slightly different when putting together a party.

First we worked on the invites.I talked to Aemi the graphic designer of our troop and we agreed on one thing.Invitation should fit to their characters. Mayor Ronel who loves to cook and Donya Dresden who always looks fab and glam. After deliberation we ended with the theme influenced by the couple’s origin. Donya Dresden being pangalatok and Mayor Ronel as kapampangan.

Presenting “The Love Story of Daing na Bangus and Pampanga’s Best..” yes, you read it right!

The event took place at Tandushi, in Lotus Downtown Hotel. Ate Marie and the rest of the gang  paid such amazing attention to detail, including the dessert table, pretty simple yet very enticing.

Desert bar full of scrumptious cakes and cupcakes. Most of them were labor of love and baked by their friends.

Cute circular toppers on the cakes and cupcakes from Catch my Party free printables added the perfect amount of charm and frill to the party.

I especially love the games prepared for the couple. It was lighthearted and super FUN.

To the couple – Dres and Ronel. Eto na talaga ang message ko..

photo 20

Best Wishes and Congratulations!! Hahaha..

Sige nga eto na talaga.Don’t stress yourself sa preparation. There will always be small glitches in every wedding no matter how much you planned for it.Ang mahalaga your family and your friends will witnessed your union together. All the people close to your hearts will be there kaya just enjoy the day. And take note – Give your best smile during photo shoot tandaan makikita ng mga apo nio ang album at dapat forever nilang makita na pretty and handsome ang lolo at lola nila during younger years..haha!Wag ng mahiya sa pictorials..hahaha

Seriously, alam ko alam nio to but just a piece of advise – Always put GOD at the center of your marriage/family. A family who serves God will always find glory in their home.

We love you guys!! Enjoy your big day!!
