Updates with pictures

Here is a a little update on some of what has happened in our lives this past month. (not in order necessarily.)

Early January when little A pays visit to the dentist. The dentist from Healthplus opposite Burjuman was kid friendly. She cleaned little A’s teeth and did two fillings on his molar. At first we are very hesitant if little A will cause drama but the dentist knows her craft that she made little A at ease the first he sat on the dental chair.
I think this is mid January when parents were invited to attend Parents Engagement week. With this activity parents were encouraged to take time and participate with the given task. There were 3 options to choose healthy breakfast, outdoor reading and boat making using recycled materials. I chose the last as the timing is suitable to my schedule and besides I know that little A would love boat sailing.
With this activity we were provided with recycled materials that can be used to make boat. We construct the boat along with little A’s friend and once we are done they tried to sail the boat with the water trays.

This was a fun math activities. We started with talking about additions and subtraction and been using little A’s toys and  dominoes for easy understanding.

He’s a fan of homemade toasted pastillas that Raquiza made for us. I don’t know if she will allow me to post the recipe but this is our comfort food so far! Ang sarap!

And lastly, we had so much fun last Tuesday. It was Sports Day and we are all complete to cheer for little A. In fact the night before he reminded us to be present so we can cheer for him. And we obliged!

That’s all for now got to go now and manood pa kong Got to Believe.

 Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!

As I mentioned in my previous post that after our private viewing session we were told that the chosen picture will be ready only within 4-6 weeks (maximum) but I guess I got a call from them even before the waiting period and they asked us to collect it from their shop which is located in second floor, opposite Book World, The Dubai Mall. We just presented our receipt and the small print out of the chosen image and viola they handed the paper bag containing the printed picture and CD.

Presenting ” Baby Wiggle as Mr. Suave”/ “Oh my Chinito” baby!!

Out of 35 images we narrowed it down to 10 then 5 then from best of five daddy, mommy and Kuya A voted for this one. We asked kuya A which one among the five is his favorite and he pointed out this super cute picture.Although I tempted to get the yawning picture kaso naman the image cost arm and leg so settled sa free..hehe. After all the best thing in life is free, right?!

As a stage mom I am super kilig with it kasi it captured his cuteness overload. Sabi ko nga ke Raquiza ” sana paglaki nya wala siang mapaiyak na babae sa kanyang kapogian”..hehe

Baby Wiggle with Pink Pepper Photography

One of the perks of giving birth to Mediclinic City Hospital is receiving a diaper bag full of freebies. And one of my favorite freebie was the complimentary voucher from Pink Pepper Photography. To capture the precious moments of the new born babies Mediclinic partnered with Pink Pepper Photography for one hour professional studio session .

The free voucher includes one high quality 6×4 print of your choice (also offered as a medium resolution digital copy).

inigo pictorialThe complimentary  voucher will expire within  60 days after giving birth so we tried to book the appointment early December but unfortunately December and January was their peak season and all the dates were blocked. We scheduled it January 13,2014. Originally, we wanted to have  family shoot kaso kuya A was really not feeling well kaya si baby wiggle na lang.

Overall the experience was awesome! The shoot was very smooth, the photographer was really accommodating and very talented. In fact he recommend to comeback and he will do the family session but as you know it took us 3 weeks before the viral infection left us.

Anyway, after the photo shoot we were advised to booked for the private viewing of the photos. You cannot view the images kasi on the same day kasi daw they will still edit some images.

Once you chose na your free picture they will also provide us the soft copy with medium resolution. they said that we can print the image up to 8 x 10 maximum. Or we can choose other images by paying aed 250 for low res (images can be upload in Facebook only) or aed 720 high res (images can be printed into life size portrait).

To be honest, we don’t want to shell out extra money we just wanted to get our freebies but the images were so amazing. There are lots of images that really captured the cuteness of baby wiggle. I will share the image (chosen one) once we get it from studio.

In the meantime this is one of the picture that Raquiza captured using her mobile. Ang cute no?

Letter to baby wiggle @ 3 months

How are you baby wiggle? You are now 3 months old and we are all excited. Your third month was full of new little milestone, changes, and lots of smiles. Your smiles makes our heart beat fast and you’ve been using those smiles to communicate with us.

You hate it whenever mommy will go out to run some errands because you knew that you need to use bottles. At first you hate the nips but with a little patience and a bit of practice, now, you’ve done well at taking a bottle. But I am glad that you’ve continued to do pretty well breastfeeding.

We took you to the hospital because of clogged nose and cough. Mommy was so worried that it may lead to pneumonia but the doctor advised that we just have to used Ocean’s spray and Nasal Aspirator. I can’ believe that despite of being sick you still managed to gain weight.

You’re also getting very strong, getting close to hold you head completely on your own and we are always shocked by your strong little legs.  You are little fussy when you can’t get your sleep. You like to talk, coo, scream and yell to get our attention. You are so much more alert, smiley, happy and occasionally demanding.

You love your kuya so much that this afternoon you laughed so loud while kuya A is doing his dancing tricks. I thank God for the bond that you and your big brother have.

You are so special and we are reminding ourselves to cherish every day with you. We love you so much and happy 3rd month!!

“She said yes” bridal shower

We’re spreading the LOVE this month and to make your heart skip a beat I’d like to share the happiest moment of one of our closest and dear friend Ley Ann.

Getting married is such an exciting time. There’s just so much to look forward to. Aren’t you get giddy thinking to start a new life with the one you love. Is all just so wonderful when God gave you the man you’ve been praying for.  Every girl dreamed of a fairy tale romance and Ann is one of the luckiest girl for turning her dream into reality.

Last thursday was Ann’s surprise bridal shower. It was organized by her brother and Patchi friends. When I received the invitation it was clearly written that it is a surprise party and the venue will be in the other house and we must give a call to Kelly for the location. But the “mom-nesia” in me forget all the details and went straight to their place. I am the spoiler of the night!! Buti na lang si Ann di siya nag kakanin kaya medyo slow ang pick-up nia..hahaha

The place were surrounded with all of her best friends and to our surprise Mark was there to celebrate with her. In fact he was the special guest. He played the important role in the party. He pretended to be the hired macho dancer..haha! That segment was really funny!!

The buffet table were a spread of delightful foods. I must give credit to the cook of the night the buffalo and siomai was blockbuster!!

To my dear friend Ann and Mark here’s my message. I already posted in my Facebook and again here it is.

I love you Ley Ann Perez Ipac! Lam mo din how much our family loves you! We are so happy that this is it! Enjoy your wedding day and show your sweetest smile. Tandaan makikita ng mga apo ang album. haha..We hope everything works out great on the big day!! We’re really happy that you’ve found the love of your life. Mark Dee Gutierrez was suprised when you came all the way from Qatar.(kilig much).Wishing you both all the best for the wedding and for the future.

Hello February

First off, I apologize for being MIA. I’d never imagine that taking care of a demanding four year old and an almost three month old, plus managing the house can be exhausting! I’ve never been this busy my entire life! It’s all new to me.

Seems like the weather is beginning to change. Literally. I’ve always considered myself a cold weather person. Summer heat always make me grumpy and winter chills always make me feel the coziest but not when you have children. You will learn to hate the cold weather and just prayed for the right temperature.

Anyway,I’ve been  complaining about the weather for quite sometime now. Why not?! We are all tormented by cough and flu and it all started after the Prophet Mohammed holiday. It so sudden, the least thing we knew we are driving to the hospital as little A suffered from influenza which cause him to be absent for a whole week. Apart from staying in a while in the ER for some laboratory test the doctor decided to do x-ray also to make sure that it’s not pneumonia. He’s feverish na kasi. Luckily he was not admitted but needs to drink lots of medicine.

Even Baby wiggle suffered from colds and flu but again thank God for the breast milk that even though he’s sick he’s still gaining weight.

It’s been three weeks and virus finally leave our house. So hubby and I decided not to leave the house and go to the crowded area where germs and viral infection can be transfer.

It’s really been awful. It’s just colds and coughs but we’ve been miserable just the same. Lesson learn – Have a flu vaccine before the winter to avoid such a nightmare experience!
