Let’s Party – Back to School

The first day of school is quickly approaching.I can’t believe it is back to school time! I’m so in denial..but it is always nice to get the kids excited about going back to school.

It can be a challenging time for both children and parents. Children have a lot to deal with after such a long summer holiday.

In order to make the transition back to school a bit easier for the kids, Kids Ministry team create a fun Back to School Party to celebrate the upcoming school year. I think the hardest part of getting back into a school schedule is getting up early!😂

Just a little kickoff to the next chapter in their education. We tried to relate their subjects in the bible storie. In this way we are prepping them in their back to school routine.

We started to instill the importance of Quiet Time by reading their bible and spending time to at least talk to God. Then, we proceed with the lesson proper. For PE class we discussed “The story of Samson”.

For Math it was “The story of Noah”

What a better way to discussed Science than with the story of King Solomon. We all know that Science requires logic and wisdom.

We had lots of little learners and all of them were empowered with the holy spirit. We send them off with excitement and special memories that they will remember while they are in school.

Congratulations to Kids Ministry Team for a job well done! Thank you so much for the dedication and commitment! Thank you for touching the lives of the next generation.

And also big shout out to all our sponsors. To all the parents who never hesitate to share their blessings.May God continue to bless you all abudantly.

 To God be the Glory😊

Teaching bible story to the kids – The story of Healing the Demon -Possessed Man

We are now on the 3rd week of our series EPIC  which means . . .

E Everything is

P Possible

I In

C Christ

Everything is possible in Christ. As we have been discussing for the past three weeks, these miracles were only made possible because Jesus was involved in the situation

Our Power Verse if from John 8:36So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

Let’s look at a man in the Bible who was set free by Jesus.

This EPIC story happened right after Jesus calmed the storm. As He and His disciples reached the other side of the lake, Jesus climbed out of the boat, and then a man possessed by an evil spirit came out from a cemetery to meet him. Because this man was possessed, people had tried to put chains and shackles on him, but he would just snap and smash them. No one was strong enough to stop him.

Our arts and crafts is based on Mark 5:13 – 13 So Jesus gave them permission. The evil spirits came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd of about 2,000 pigs plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water.

At the end of the lesson kids will learn that Jesus is our Deliverer; we can live in freedom.

Teaching bible story to the kids- Jesus Feeds Five Thousand People

For the month of May, Kids Church introduced the new series EPIC.

If you are wondering what EPIC is, it is simply mean grand heroic acts. This series will help us to continue to look at Jesus’ miracles and see how EPIC they are!

By the end of this series, we should have learned more about Jesus Christ.

I am in- charged with the arts and crafts and since our lesson is how Jesus feeds the multitude, I chose the activity that kids can easiky relate the heroic act of our Provider and that’s Jesus Christ.

Our Power Truth for week 1: Jesus is our provider; we have everything we need.

Our Power Verse: John 6:35 Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Jesus feeds 5,000 is also referred to as the fishes and loaves miracle. This is a quick and easy craft so the kiddos will remember your Bible lesson.

Directions:

  • Color and cut out each piece.
  • Glue the fish and loves behind the basket in a random order.
  • Glue the whole thing onto a piece of construction paper or cardstock.
  • Cut out the whole figure.

Teaching kids bible stories – The Creation

For the upcoming Earth Day on the 22nd, I might share this simple activity we made for the Preschool and Primary of our Kids Church.

This month we have our new series entitled – In the Beginning. It will be about how everything was perfectly made by God. By the end of this series, We hope that kids will have learned to appreciate how God planned out our salvation right from the very start, when sin entered the world through Adam and Eve.

For our first week we discussed the Creation and how God formed the universe and everything in it.

I was assigned to do the arts and craft. Unfortunately, our Macbook was still in the repair shop that time so I need to go to the internet cafe and let them print the coloring book.

That same day was the worst sandstorm I’ve experienced. In fact, UAE residents were forced to stay indoors as strong winds kicked up sandstorms, reduced visibility and made the sea rough.

can’t hardly see the buildings

cars are driving too slow because if the zero visibility

first time to experienced worst sandstorm

Moving on, since the topic was The Creation I opted to make mini booklet of how God created the world. I intentionally made the words missing for the kids to fill up. The purpose of this is that not only they will color the pages but eventually they will remember the seven day creations upon writing the answers.

Once done they can bring it home and can read it over and over again.

This will also helps them learn about the greatness, power, and beauty of our Creator. Happy Creation Book-ing! 🙂

After wrapping my head around the idea of making a photobooth, I came up with an idea that turned out so great. This photobooth is so easy you can literally put it together in minutes. Seriously.

Backdrop are made of IKEA christmas wrapper and a store bought christmas banner.
After you make your fabulous photobooth you are gonna need some cute props, right? Luckily over the years we’ve kept some of the props we used in our previous parties and added christmas headdress from Home Centre.

Without further adieu. I’ll let the photos do the talking of our DIY Photo Booth.

VCF Sharjah Kids Corner Booth

Wow! Can you believe we have less than three weeks till Christmas? December is flying by too fast!

Christmas is a great time to give and show love by doing kind things for others. Today I’m going to share our Kids Corner Booth during the VCF – Sharjah Family Day.

IMG_0460.JPGIMG_0366.JPG
The event was held in CUCA also known as Preston University in Ajman.

In partnership with CFC department we were in charged to take care of the kids activities.

Our booth opens at 9am and kids had a great time cheering their parents.

IMG_0442.JPGIMG_0449.JPGIMG_0323.JPGIMG_0324.JPG

Creativity flourishes when things are done for enjoyment. What matters is the pleasure, not the perfection. Let’s forget about the “getting it right” and let’s give our kids the opportunity to explore, to make mistakes and take risks and to feel the freedom to express all their wonderful ideas.

Coming up part two of our Fun with Kids Corner..
