Cook’s Nook – Water spinach in oyster sauce

After all the sweet delights it’s time to eat something healthy. In the Philippines when Chowking launched their famous Kangkong with chinese bagoong, it became a famous dish. I guess because we filipinos love to eat bagoong. Sabi nga anything and everything when bagoong is added on our food talaga namang hit.

So today I made my own version.To make it more crunchy I added garlic chips.
This is the easiest meal you will ever cook. In less than 10 minutes including preparation your lunch is ready to eat.

Presenting “Water Spinach in oyster sauce”

You will need:

2 bags of Water spinach (kangkong)

Oyster sauce


Barrio Fiesta Spicy bagoong

Sorry but I didn’ measure the exact amount. Just trust your taste buds..hehe


Toss garlic in olive oil until golden brown. Set aside

In the same pan, add water spinach and add oyster sauce then cook for 1 minute.

Add the shrimp paste (bagoong) and garnish with toasted garlic chips.

Serve with rice and enjoy eating!
