The Wonderful World of Dr. Seuss

Don’t you LOVE his books? His positivity? His famous qoutes?

When we started collecting books for Angelo. We made sure that Dr. Seuss collection MUST be in our library. His books are fun to read and they have a great message all the time.I guess, what makes him popular among the children is because of his unique style of rhyming and bizarre cartoon characters.

And since Little A is very fascinated to the doctor who is a favorite among children. “Dr. Seuss,” as Theodor Seuss Geisel is fondly called.I thought to dedicate our weekend activity to something he really loved.

For this week,I prepared 3 games.

  • Memory game – I googled the pictures of The Cat and The Hat,Thing 1 and Thing 2, Sam I Am and lastly The Lorax  saved it in MS Word and printed two copies.Viola! We have our own version of Dr. Seuss memory game.
  • Matching game – I went to Seusville site and found lots of worksheet. I chose the match the characters name to their correct names. I was amazed when he can easily identified them.Little A was very thrilled while doing this and he even begged for one more round. Good thing I’ve printed more copies.
  • Matching game – Dr. Seuss have become a favortite of his. I laid the books at the top of our table and some sort of printable characters for him to match, and he’s set!

We had so much fun of playing! And as a reward I baked Oatmeal Chocolate Cookies for his snacks.
